Job Summary

We’re seeking an organized and motivated individual to help create, enhance, and maintain Winterlight’s operational and administrative practices. The ideal candidate will take great care to ensure that our team feels supported and apply a people-first approach to company practices. The role is planned as a 1-year contract with the opportunity to become a permanent role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support our flexible, hybrid remote work office plan by maintaining the shared spaces of the office, working with outside vendors/service providers, and addressing both remote and onsite employee requests
  • Work with hiring managers to coordinate hiring activities through all stages; from recruitment to new hire orientation
  • Maintain and improve upon our company recordkeeping and documentation practices, in collaboration with the Operations Manager
  • Be mindful of possible everyday improvements to existing guidelines, policies, and the office in general
  • Assist in planning small-scale events and team building activities
  • Provide scheduling and logistical support to the Winterlight team

Required Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources management, psychology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A keen interest in Winterlight’s mission, team, research, technology, and services

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working toward a professional designation in Human Resources (CHRP/CHRL)
  • A working knowledge of employment, human rights, and privacy laws
  • Experience in a research or startup environment
